Portrait 1
This class will take you through classic studio portraiture into a deeper style of image-making that captures the essence of your model and evokes a story.
Over four sessions with different models, you’ll learn the basic “rules” and techniques of portrait photography, and then break them. From there we will use these techniques as a way to make a statement about the person we are photographing and to create a story. You’ll develop your own style and way of working with your models.

There are four sessions in this class, each one will combine many of the ideas we learned from Portrait 1 along with new ways to work.

Portrait 3
This class is designed for people that have been through Portrait 1 and 2 and want to keep going. Come up with an idea, who you want to work with and get three private sessions to shoot. Several review sessions to get some feedback on the work. If you do not have a specific idea Rick will help you with that. You can also print, frame and hang your photos in a photography show, and create a book of the work. You will get guidance and advise along the way from Rick. This is a great portfolio builder and gives photographers the beginning to end experience going from an idea to a realized show.
